Ambien side effects
zolpidem
This side effect is printed on the FDA label for Ambien. It was a question in our daily quiz, where you pick the real side effect from four choices.
Driving a car while not fully awake
The label calls it a complex sleep behavior. Your insurance company calls it something else.
“Complex sleep behaviors including sleep-walking, sleep-driving, and engaging in other activities while not fully awake may occur following use of AMBIEN. Some of these events may result in serious injuries, including death.”
If you do things at night you don't remember doing, stop taking it and call your doctor.
1,883 reports to the FDA's adverse event system mention sleepwalking or other sleep-related behavior. A report is not proof the drug caused it. See the query
