The short version: you don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email. Your scores stay in your own browser. The site shows ads from Google, and Google uses cookies to decide which ads to show.
Who we are
This policy covers yoursideeffectsmayinclude.com ("the site," "we," "us"), a daily quiz about prescription drug side effects. Questions about this policy go to hello@yoursideeffectsmayinclude.com.
What we collect
- Nothing you type in. There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms.
- Your quiz progress. Your answers, scores and streak are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device so you can pick up where you left off. This information is not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it.
- Contact emails. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.
Advertising
The site is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Other services the site uses
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes basic technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- Fonts. Text styles load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are downloaded.
We don't use any analytics or tracking tools of our own.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, including California and several other U.S. states, you may have rights to know about, delete or opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Because we don't collect personal information ourselves, most choices are made through Google's Ads Settings, the privacy choices shown by Google on this site, or your browser's cookie settings. You can also email us with any request.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
