Sudden swelling of the face, lips or tongue
It can happen at any point, even after years on the drug. The same drug is also known for a nagging dry cough.
“Angioedema of the face, extremities, lips, tongue, glottis and/or larynx, including some fatal reactions, have occurred in patients treated with angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, including lisinopril, at any time during treatment.”
Swelling of the tongue or throat is an emergency. Call 911 if it affects your breathing.
